Holding On To The Harvest
Holding On To The Harvest is a short read for those who have a heart for souls and a heart for discipleship. Both the harvest of souls and discipleship go hand in hand. God is getting ready to pour out His Holy Spirit on the earth, but we must be ready, and local churches must have an effective model of spiritual training to preserve the coming harvest. This book was created with that in mind. Inside you will discover:
- Fundamental concepts of discipleship
- The cost of discipleship
- Keys to effectively disciple another person
- How to facilitate a discipleship group
- How our discipleship track works
Holding On To the Harvest is a precursor to a three-base discipleship book series that can be used to systematically disciple people at the local church level.

For far too long the church has been concerned about numerical growth without focusing on making disciples. Jesus said for us to go and make disciples of all nations. Somehow, we have come to equate crowds with disciples. A mass of people, smoke machines, and a worship team have become success to us. That is not the model Jesus demonstrated. Large numbers of people are great, but Jesus never quit discipling His twelve men, regardless of the size of the crowd. He wanted to multiply Himself through those twelve men in such a way they could do what He did.
As God gets ready to pour out His Spirit like never before, we must return to the drawing board of discipleship making sure that the harvest will not be lost. This must be done first and foremost on a local church level. If someone gets saved in your church or comes there recently saved, it is your responsibility to disciple them.
